Emergency Communications Constituent Group

This EDUCAUSE constituent group focuses on strategic issues and tactical challenges that affect IT communications in advanced planning for, during mitigation of, and subsequent to an emergency in higher education. Discussion topics include utilizing telecommunication infrastructure and electronic services, campus coordination, the role of IT staff, campus drills, funding, security/safety, community awareness, vendors, and information/network policies. The group examines policies, best practices, and lessons learned.

This group meets at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference and uses this list to discuss issues throughout the year.
